Bonaire Pirate Ship Sailing and Snorkeling Adventure
I was born on a Pirate Ship!
Yo HO HO! Ahoy me Hearties! Aft in t' days when t' pirates ruled t' seas. Many treaayes were lost with no maps t' be found. Buried some say but forgotten by most. T' pirate ships were washed up in wrecks or sent down to Davy Jones' locker.
The previous paragraph was brought to you by "Pirate Translator", one of the most useful pages on the entire internet (if your audience happens to be made up primarily of pirates).
There is one boat that survived the seas, The Mistress...
It wouldn't be a Caribbean vacation if you didn't encounter any pirates, or their boats for that matter.
Climb aboard the Mistress, a 56 foot wooden ketch (two masted sailboat). Captain Mike will tell you some tales from his 35 years of sailing the seas. He may even give you some insight into some lessons learned as well:
Ye can swab the poop deck, but ye can't poop on the swab deck. (Just kidding, he never learned this lesson yet!)
The ship sets sail for Klien Bonaire which takes about an hour. You get to enjoy the views of Bonaire's coastline with a relaxing breeze keeping the sails full.
Klien Bonaire also called small Bonaire is a little island that has an amazing amount of sea life. This is the perfect place for snorkeling on a day trip. The reefs are colorful and teeming with a wide variety of fish. Turtle sightings are usually a sure thing and you often can hear the Dolphins playing in the water.
It's another hours sail back into the port of Bonaire. This sail and snorkel trip is approximately three hours in length. Time well spent.
