Bonaire's Jibe City is a top-notch shop for windsurfers. They are located on the sandy beach of Lac Cai, where the water is warm, shallow and calm. The steady trade winds blow throughout the year and sunshine is always in the forecast.
The shop prides itself on having the best new gear on the market available for rental with new JP board stocks replenished every year and plenty of sails to go around. It's got a laid-back feel and has it’s own watering hole, the Hang Out bar. You can refuel with some healthy snacks and get inspired for your next go at windsurfing. Or you can find a nice spot in the shade and enjoy some chilled bevies as a spectator. The kayaks and beach loungers are free for all board renters.
Whether private lessons, group lessons, or week-long camps, Jibe city offers courses from beginner to advanced year-round. Newbies will sail out into the beautiful watm waters of Lac Cai with newfound confidence, and with a little tuneup, the more experienced boarders might even tackle the big stuff on the boundaries of the reef. The surf store has everything you need to get on the water, along with surf and leisure wear for men and women from all the big names. They also have surfing souvegneirs and necessities such as sun screen and aloe products.
