Bonaire Landsailing is Fun, Easy and a Rip-Roaring Good Time
Bonaire Landsailing has made land sailing (also known as blokart) a sport accessible to all the thrill seekers looking for speed with the "worlds largest" land sailing track.
This sport is rapidly gaining momentum as the next big thing. Suitable for young and old alike, it appeals to anyone looking for an adreneline rush.
Similar to a go-cart, without the stinking fumes and noisy motor, a land sailer, or blokart, has three wheels, a suspended seat and is fully powered by it's sail. It’s truly an eco-friendly sport!
Just a short and sweet run down on how to control your ride and you too will be blasting away on the figure eight track! Even eight year olds can get the hang of the blokart in no time, but if you're a little nervous they have some landsailers built for two, so you can experience the thrill without the responsibility, provided you can find a willing driver. But that shouldn’t be difficult, since land sailing is a blast!
With the proper technique and a little practice, you can get the blokart to move five times as fast at the wind. The current blokart speed record is 93 km/hr (57m/hr).
If you are a thrill-seeking adreneline junkie this is a blow your mind fun experience you don't want to miss.
Follow the main road from Kralendijk to Rincon, just ten minutes down the road. It's as easy to find as it is to learn!
Blokart landsailing clinics all include an easy 15 minutes theory.
