Bonaire Happy Hour

Bonaire happy hour, what not to do... Bonaire happy hour is my favorite time of day! Usually in the late afternoon or early evening, this is where the drink specials live. Happy Hour is the time when Bonaire is the most lively, and for obvious reasons. The sun is setting and the divers are ready to decompress after an active day under the water with a fruity, boozy drink or a crisp Carib beer that’s cheap, cheap cheap! If you hit up City Cafe, Havana and Mona Lisa in downtown Kralendijk you will find the locals and foreigners alike mingling with the crowds, especially if the cruise ship is in port.

Start your night at one of these watering holes, and you can’t go wrong:

Happy hour fruity cocktails Paradise Moon
Half-price drinks from 5:00-6:30. Located at the Harbour Village Resort. The food is great as well. They have yummy ginger tuna and a sizzlin’ apple pie.

City Cafe
Two-for-one drinks from 5:30-6:30. They have dart tournaments, card nights and Karaoke nights. On weekends they turn into a dance bar with a DJ and live local bands.

Coconut Crash Beach Bar
They have two happy hours- the first from 5:00-6:00 and then again at 9:00-10:00. This is a popular place to go for half-price drinks. They are located at the Plaza Resort.

Happy hour in the tropics Karel's Beach Bar
This may be the most popular beach bar, probably because they are very few places that remain open late. Take advantage of their happy hour from 5:00-7:00 while watching the beautiful Caribbean sunsets. Indulge your inner rock star on Tuesdays when they host Wii Rockband. Blow them away with your vocal chops on Karaoke Wednesdays, and dance to Caribbean tunes ‘till the wee hours on Friday and Saturdays. Karel’s closes at 1:00 am on weekdays and 3:00 am on weekends.

Spanhoek
Happy hour is from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm. They are a little snack bar with cheap beer on your way to Ricon from Kralendijk on Kaya UD Gerharts

* While touring the island, watch for local snack bars- they have beer specials from 4:00pm – 7:00pm daily.
