Bonaire Dive Sites South
On Bonaire dive sites South you will find a current that creates the healthy reefs here. The fish are larger and turtles also abound in these parts. The super-easy beginner dives end at the Atlantis site. The rest of the sites here require some experience due to surf and current.

Novice Shore/ Boat
The Invisibles is one of the best Bonaire dive sites to see garden eels in 20 ft. of water. This dive has the double reef system. This is a fishy site with a great variety of life. You could make this a two tank dive.
(#52) Tori's Reef
22-95 ft. (6-30m) No Hazards
Novice Shore/ Boat
Tori's reef is a long swim out but there is lots to see in the shallows. There are rarely seen fish hiding out in the fire coral. Look for lobsters, barber pole shrimp, cleaning stations, schools of creole wrasse, octopus, scorpion fish, seahorses and squid.

Novice Shore/ Boat
Pink Beach is one of Bonaire's famous beach with coconut palms and pelicans. The pink sand is actually a creature called foramins nesting in minerals ie. sand. Easy entry. Watch for garden eels, sting rays and puffers.
(#54) White Slave
10-120 Ft. (6-36m) Current
Intermediate/Advanced Shore
White Slave can have dangerous conditions. Watch and check the sea and wind. Be prepared to abort this dive. There is a bit of a swim to the drop off. There are always turtles.
(#55) Margate Bay
24-120 ft. (7-37m) Current
Intermediate Shore
Margate Bay dive site got it's name from the Black Margates sleeping among the coral. There is lots of fish variety. Look for honeycomb cowfish and longsnout butterfly fish.
(#56) Red Beryl
15-130 ft. (4-40m) Current
Novice Shore
Red Beryl has barrels and tube sponges that host plenty of fish. There are mainly smaller varieties of fish but lots of them. Look for gobies, frogfish and shrimp.
(#57) Atlantis
10-120 ft. (3-37m) Kite-boarders
Novice Shore
Atlantis is a popular beach. Come to this site early and plan to exit the water before 10:00 am as these waters get busy with Kite-boarders. Easy access with coral reef islands.
(#58) Vista Blue
20-120 ft. (4-37m) Watch Surf
Intermediate Shore/ Boat
Vista Blue is one of Bonaire dive sites quiet beaches. Once you've past Red Beryl you will find there is never any diver crowds here. Look for green and hawksbill turtles.
(#59) Sweet Dreams 10-120 ft. (3-37m) Current Intermediate Shore Look for snake eels and turtles.
(#60) Red Slave
22-140 ft, (7-43m) Current
Intermediate/advances Shore
Do not make this a drift dive as you can't tell when you have rounded the corner and are heading over to Venezuela. There is remnants of a 1829 British warship, the
Hms Barham,
here. You can hear and sometimes see dolphins. Look for turtles, garden eels and eagle rays.
(#61) Willemstoren Lighthouse
25-120 ft. (7-36m) Surf, Current
Intermediate/advances Shore/ Boat
The Willemstoren Lighthouse was built in 1838. Before that time many boats had crashed. There is remnants of an
old frieghter wreck
(anchors and chains ect.) There are some nice large sea fans. Look for turtles and groups of eagle rays.
(#62) Baby Beach (not an official site yet)
25-100ft. (7-36m) Surf, Current
Intermediate/ Advance Shore/ Boat
Baby Beach is a great drift dive. Look for sting rays, nurse sharks, black tip reef sharks and large baracuda.
(#63) White Hole/ Blue Hole
20-55 ft. (6-17m) Surge
Intermediate/Advance Boat
White hole/ Blue hole is one of the best Bonaire dive sites. This is like the eye of the ocean, a coral reef circles this area and the bottom is sandy with gorgeous blue water. Great for photography.
